Teen Popstar JoJo In Talks For 'Aquamarine'

Teen popstar JoJo is in talks to join Emma Roberts in 20th Century Fox' Aquamarine, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The feature, helmed by Elizabeth Allen, is based on Alice Hoffmans novel, and revolves around two teenage girls who discover a mermaid in their beach club's swimming pool.

The role of the mermaid has yet to be cast for the project, which is due to start shooting in February.

John Quaintance Hired For 'Aquamarine' Rewrite

John Quaintance has been hired to rewrite Fox's big-screen adaptation of 'Aquamarine', according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie follows two best friends who find a brokenhearted mermaid in the swimming pool of a deserted beach club.

The story is based on the novel by 'Practical Magic' author Alice Hoffman.
